Most of Yellowstone is in Wyoming, but some areas are in Montana and Idaho as well. We went to this amazing national park and saw geysers erupt, hot springs and mudpots bubble, travertine terraces run, and fumaroles steam. Old Faithful was the easiest geyser to watch, because it erupted on a pretty regular schedule.
We took a hike to see a travertine terrace and heard and saw elk. They made loud bugle noises that started of low and ended in a wailing, higher note.
We learned that Yellowstone does not only protect its hydrothermal features, but also animals like gray wolves, grizzly bears, and wolverine.
