It is the middle of World War II in Holland, and 16-year-old Maria Schletvanic and her family are helping the oppressed Jews to hide and escape, risking their lives through the process. However, Maria’s life is upended when her parents are arrested, a young, brave Resistance leader appears, and a Jewish baby is abandoned. Maria’s faith is challenged in new ways when she is forced to make a difficult decision, despite knowing the serious consequences her actions could bring. Not knowing if her parents will ever return, Maria struggles through this difficult time as she learns more about responsibility, trusting God, and the horrors of the Holocaust.

This is the book description for my newest, upcoming book, The Jewish Baby.  My intended audience is young children and teens.  I have finished drafting the book, but I have yet to do a round of developmental edits, and then there’s everything that comes after that.
